About Rockstar Movie:
Rockstar is an Indian musical romantic drama film directed by Imtiaz Ali, 
Starring Ranbir kapoor and debulant Nargis Fakhri with music composed by A.R Rehman, film also stars Shammi kapoor making his last silver screen appearance.
It follows Janardha Jakhar a.k.a J.J and Jordhan, who dreams of becoming a big Rockstar. He undergoes an emotional change to do so and during the process, a love story follows with a girl named Heer, which takes him from India to Prague.
Kareena kapoor was replaced by Nargis Fakhri. Upon realease, movie received positive to mixed reviews. Film critics highlighted Ranbir and Rehmanas stars of film, but panned the plot- Rockstar made on budget of 60 crore, grossed 108 crore worldwide. Ranbir’s character brought him awards for best actor from film fare and star screen. Rehman also received several awards for his music including film fare and zee tv.
Soundtrack
Music for film is scored by Rehman with sound track featuring 14track, Mohit chauhan lent his voice for 9 songs- “Sadda Haq” became most popular song of albumand was named as a ‘”youth anthem”.
Music
Fans of Rehman will notice that its not a typical Rehman album but comprise of Sufi,Rock, Soul, Pahadi and much more. Overall, Rockstar is a good album, some songs will be instantly loved, while others may take time to grow on you.
